Applicants for the Ralph Reed Scholarship are required to either be a dependent of a current IOWPA member or be sponsored by a member. Please include the IOWPA member sponsor name and company below. If you believe you meet all other eligibility requirements except for this this portion and don’t know an IOWPA member, please contact info@iowpa.org.

In submitting this application, I certify that the information provided is complete and accurate to the best of my knowledge and I acknowledge that typing my name in the signature fields below is signing the form. False information will result in revocation of any scholarship granted.
Official Rules
  1. Scholarships are awarded for $750 to help defray the cost of tuition, room, and board at an accredited institution of higher learning approved by the IOWPA Board of Directors.
  2. Up to (3) three scholarships may be awarded annually.
  3. Recipients may apply for the scholarship each year of schooling, though preference may be given to first-time applicants. Recipients applying again should include transcripts of previous year indicating coursework and a declared major in the water quality industry.
  4. Students must be pursuing education in a career that relates to the industry, both in four-year degree programs, two-year programs, and vocational/technical programs. Areas of study that will receive priority include, but are not limited to, the following:
    1. Environmental Science/Engineering
    2. Public Health
    3. Soil Science/Agronomy
    4. Water Quality Science
    5. Hydrology
    6. Agricultural/Biological Engineering
    7. Excavation/Construction Technology
  1. Any student who is either a dependent of an IOWPA member or submits a recommendation from an IOWPA member will be eligible to apply for the Scholarship.
  2. Applications should be completed in their entirety and submitted no later than March 31 each year.
  3. Awards will be sent directly to the institution to be applied to the recipient’s account and will be disbursed prior to the fall semester.
  4. IOWPA does not discriminate or request information to make award decisions based on ethnicity, national origin, gender, identity, sexual orientation, disability, religion or age, in accordance with federal anti-discrimination laws and the statutes.
  5. Headshots are requested for use in the announcement of scholarship winners. By submitting a headshot, applicants agree to the use of their likeness in IOWPA communications including the IOWPA website, printed publications, and email communications.
